The Awards Selection Process
To ensure integrity and credibility, the awards selection process will comprise the following stages:

1:) Public nominations will be invited from across the African continent.
2:) Nominations will be received, and any clarifications or adjustments to the submission format will be sought from nominees or their representatives.
3:) Eligible nominations will be authenticated by our contracted research team to verify the accuracy of claims made.
4:) Any nominee found to have deliberately falsified information will be immediately disqualified to protect the awards’ integrity.
5:) A specially constituted Awards Assessment Jury will evaluate each nomination against the selection criteria, using the qualitative performance assessment model provided.
6:) The Jury will meet virtually in multiple sessions to discuss shortlisted nominees. Members unable to attend will submit their inputs in writing for consideration.
7:) Each juror will score shortlisted nominees on each criterion, based on group discussions and the established scoring model.
8:) Dedicated research consultants will calculate total scores to determine winners in each category. The secretariat will cross-check these calculations for accuracy. Discrepancies will be referred back to consultants for correction, ensuring final results remain impartial.
9:) In the event of a tie, the Jury will decide the winner with a view to promoting inclusiveness—favoring small and medium-sized enterprises, and for individual awards, minorities based on gender, religion, ethnicity, or age.
